It is day 88 of 100 of The Good Morning Project. Wow!!! I can't believe there are only 12 days left in this series. I really enjoy the morning ritual of this project and I learned many things along the way. But...that is for another post.
Today I thought it would be fun to show some of the behind the scenes photos. Warning....this is not pretty! The photos on the left are the final shots....the photos on the right are the environment in which the photos were captured.
The Project photos usually come together fairly quickly (I give myself a time limit).....but....... Day 41 gave me a bit of trouble. It took a long time to get the shot I wanted and several prop changes. The photo was taken outside by our wood stack. I thought the wood would be a nice background. The surface (or table) for the picture is an old drawer unit that my Grandfather made. It has seen better days but it makes a great surface for photos. The drawers hold props and it is on castors so it is easy to roll around. Note all of the unused props in the drawer. And.....Yes....I tried everyone of them...but in the end...and one of the lessons I learned...less is best!
Early in the project, the morning light was good for outdoor photos but on Day64 it was a bit cloudy and I thought it might pour rain at any second. The "fence like" background is actually our patio chairs and after I posted the picture I noticed there is a big gap in the "fence". Oh well.....I got the photo before it started raining!
This photo, Day71, was also taken by our wood stack and I created a table and background with two left behind tiles from our house remodel. Notice Grandpa's drawer unit again....this is the back side of it and you can see it still has stickers from a past cross country move.
I think this photo is one of my favorites. It was taken outside on our messy patio and only took a few minutes to get "just the right shot". It was picked up by Click Vision on Instagram and had over 2300 likes. Ahhhh......two seconds of fame....but...... what I really like about this photo is the feeling it evokes. Tradition? Family? Crisp Autumn air? Past memories? I'm not sure I can find the right words to describe the feeling....
This is todays photo....Day88.....taken in our family room. I moved the table from it's normal location to the wall so the photo would have a background. The vignette looks very small in the behind the scenes photo. This is probably my second favorite photo of the project because of the memories attached to the green pots. It was a fun "hunt, gather, and explorer" day with a friend in a small village outside of Shanghai, China. You can read about it on Instagram @inspiringmaterial or on Facebook if you like.
I really appreciate that you stopped in to read the blog today........I know there are many other things you could be doing!
Hugs to you,
