Flea Market Finds

Hand blown glass grapes

Hand blown glass grapes

My husband and I visited a few flea markets and vintage stores this past weekend. Browsing places like these is one of my favorite pastimes. You just never know what you might find. Lately though....we have been finding things that are very similar (or exactly the same) to items we received as wedding presents. I guess that means that we are now "vintage".

Here are a few fun finds....

Glass grapes? Yep....they are going to make a beautiful Christmas centerpiece! My husband was not really convinced....but I'm totally in love with them! The stems are not very attractive wrapped  with plastic tape....but....I'm planning to up-cycle them with a bit of florist tape.

Flatware from Thailand?

Flatware from Thailand?

These flatware pieces were found in Seattle at the Fremont Market last summer. The seller said they were from Thailand and he had a whole basket full of interesting pieces. I selected these for  their interesting shapes.

And then there was the chair........a green chair with sooooo much character! I saw it on Saturday but left it behind....and then....I just had to go back on Sunday and bring it home.  I am a sucker for orphaned chairs. I'm afraid to count how many single chairs I have dragged home from different places. Some have been in our family for years....and some.....just followed me home.....

What.....and where....have you found your favorite flea market finds?

Thanks for stopping in!

Hugs to you,
